FASHION: ALBUS LUMEN WINS ‘18 BT EMERGING FASHION DESIGNER AWARD

Last night, 600 esteemed guests gathered to Sydney’s Royal Hall of Industry’s, for the 6th annual BT Runway for Success.

Taking out the coveted BT Emerging Designer Award for 2018 was Maria Afonina of Aussie outfit, Albus Lumen, who presented her most recent offerings to a crowd of fashion insiders, media personnel and esteemed corporate guests.

The evening’s opening segment also saw finalists Anna Quan and Double Rainbouu showcase their wares to a crowd of voyeurs, following an intense round of overnight judging.

With an impressive portfolio of garments and name clients between them, Maria, Anna and Double Rainbouu’s Mikey Nolan and Toby Jones (formerly Creative Directors of Ksubi) are most definitely ones to watch, heralding a new wave of burgeoning Aussie design talent.

Renowned for its chic minimalism, soft silhouettes, and seamless craftsmanship, Albus Lumen is a favourite among style makers and celebrities alike, having fast become a MBFWA staple.
