KEVIN.MURPHY has announced a major new creative chapter with the appointment of Eugene Souleiman as the brand’s first-ever Global Professional Ambassador- a role that positions one of fashion’s most visionary hair artists at the centre of the brand’s future direction.
Souleiman’s work has helped define the visual language of modern fashion, creating runway statements for Maison Margiela, Prada, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto and Hermès, alongside cultural collaborations with Björk, Tilda Swinton, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga. His conceptual, emotionally expressive approach mirrors the brand’s commitment to artistry and innovation.
“Eugene has a rare ability to transform thought into shape, emotion into texture, and concept into something undeniably human,” says Kevin Murphy. “His work has influenced not just trends, but the way the industry thinks about hair. Bringing him into KEVIN.MURPHY is not just a collaboration, it is a commitment to elevating the craft at every level.”
For Souleiman, the partnership marks a meeting of values. “What drew me to KEVIN.MURPHY is its integrity, a brand rooted in creativity with a genuine respect for the people who shape it,” he says. “There is freedom here. Freedom to experiment, to question, to create work that has both purpose and imagination. I’m excited to help build what comes next.”
The news follows the elevation of Evie Bear to Chief Creative Officer- the first time the brand has aligned multiple global creatives to guide its artistic vision. “Eugene embodies the kind of fearless artistry that has always inspired this brand,” says Bear. “His influence will sharpen us and expand the way we communicate through hair. With Eugene and Kevin aligned, we are entering a moment of true creative acceleration, one that will define the next era of KEVIN.MURPHY.”
Souleiman will collaborate across runway partnerships, professional education and global creative development over the next twelve months- signalling a bold new era for the brand.
