Dyson has officially launched the Airwrap Coanda 2x™ in Australia, a reimagined version of its bestselling multi-styler and dryer that now boasts double the air pressure, faster drying, and more precise styling– all without heat damage. Powered by Dyson’s most advanced Hyperdymium™2 motor, the device spins at an incredible 150,000rpm, enabling it to dry as fast as a professional hair dryer while creating longer-lasting curls and sleeker straight styles.

“The high pressure creates a longer-lasting curl or straighter styles,” says James Dyson, Founder and Chief Engineer. “Traditional stylers can damage hair, but we have always focused on developing tools that protect hair health whilst enhancing, without compromising precision or performance.”

The Airwrap2x™ also features intelligent styling through RFID-enabled attachments, which automatically adjust settings for optimal airflow and temperature, tailored to each hair type. When paired with the MyDyson™ app, users can access i.d. curl™ technology, which customises a curl sequence with the push of a button.

Engineered for versatility, the Straight + Wavy set includes six smart attachments, such as the new AirSmooth2x™ and Anti-snag Loop Brush 2x™, all designed to reduce frizz, protect the scalp, and maximise control. Additional attachments like the Wave+Curl Diffuser 2x and 20mm curling barrel will soon be available.
