NEWS: DIANE GORGIEVSKI REVEALED AS O&M INTERNATIONAL EDITORIAL DIRECTOR

Australian haircare brand O&M has announced the appointment of Diane Gorgievski as its first International Editorial Director, marking a new chapter in the brand’s global evolution.

The newly created role reflects O&M’s continued international growth and its long-term investment in creativity, education and innovation, with Gorgievski set to lead the brand’s editorial vision across Fashion Week, global campaigns, product development and talent initiatives.

Already an iconic name on the international session styling circuit, Diane has spent more than two decades working behind the scenes at Fashion Weeks around the world, training under some of the industry’s most respected figures, including Sam McKnight, Guido Palau, Luigi Murenu and Eugene Souleiman. Closer to home, she is also the co-founder of KODA, the acclaimed salon brand with locations in Bondi and Sydney’s QVB.

For O&M Founder Jose Bryce Smith, the appointment reflects the next phase of the Australian brand’s international ambitions.

Now stocked in leading salons across more than 20 countries, O&M has steadily expanded its global footprint while maintaining a distinctly Australian identity. Formalising an international editorial leadership role, Jose says, was a natural progression.

“O&M is now sold through leading hair salons in more than 20 countries, and as our global community continues to grow, it felt like the right moment to formalise our international editorial direction and expand our presence on the world’s biggest fashion stages,” she explains.

“This is a brand-new role for us. We wanted someone who could shape it with care, not just step into it. Diane has the creative confidence and generosity of spirit to do exactly that, and we feel fortunate to have her.”

For Gorgievski, the position brings together the different facets of a career that has spanned session styling, salon ownership, education and mentorship.

“What excited me most was the opportunity to bring together everything I am passionate about in our industry – creativity, education, innovation and the development of talent,” says Diane.

“Throughout my career I have always been drawn to opportunities that push creativity forward, whether that’s behind the chair, backstage at Fashion Week, through product development or mentoring the next generation of stylists.”

She also sees the appointment as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between Australia’s salon industry and the international fashion landscape.

“Some of the most valuable lessons in our industry come from collaborating with world-class creatives, working under pressure and being exposed to different perspectives,” she continues.

“I see this role as an opportunity to bring those learnings home, to inspire our team at KODA, contribute to the wider industry and continue showcasing Australian hairdressing on the global stage.”

With Diane now leading O&M’s international editorial direction, the appointment signals a deeper commitment to creative leadership as the Australian-born brand continues to expand its presence across the global salon industry.

A massive TJM congratulations on this incredible appointment, Diane!
