CULTURE: INTERVIEW MAGAZINE’S 10 BEST COVERS OF ALL TIME?

Founded by Andy Warhol in 1969, this week’s closing of fashion slash pop culture icon, Interview magazine is a sad conclusion of history indeed. We reflect on perhaps 10 of the title’s greatest covers of all time … and believe us, it had some bangers. This was a task indeed.

RIVER AND KEANU FIRE

These two. Talk about heart throbs. They represented a rare collective of 90s It boys. Just add Leonardo and Johnny D. RIP River Phoenix.

LEONARDO DI CAPRIO X KISS ME

Speaking of which … this image still circulates Pinterest boards and Instagram feeds as every girl’s dream pash. Kiss me? Where would you like it, Leo?

MICKY J

Michael Jackson in his prime.

THE INIMITABLE GRACE JONES

The Jamaican badass with a penchant for freshly shucked oysters. Talk about iconic.

DIANA ROSS

Supreme.

THE MOSS EFFECT

In her bad girl prime, what is fashion, what is art, what is publishing or the world, without Kate? Not much.

JAY Z

Two minutes of this genius’ time is worth more than we’ll make in 60 years. A cover shoot? Only for Interview.

LIZA MINNELLI

A 1972 cover featuring the iconic Cabaret star. Just 50 cents.

MARKY MARK (WHALBERG)

Half whatever … we’ll take him.

MILLIE BOBBIE BROWN

One of the title’s more recent covers, featuring Stranger Thing’s Eleven underscores testament to the the brand’s pulse-riding passion for pop culture. Adios Interview. You’ve been an endless source of inspiration.
