Creative Collaborators: Your Upcoming Masterclass
First launched in July 2017, TAFE NSW’s Creative Collaborators course series has been inviting participants to explore, develop, and ignite their creative process in hair design concepts, receiving professional knowledge, support and industry elevation in the creative arts.
Comprised of three intensive modules, this cross-disciplinary program grants participants unrivalled access to over 30 of the industry’s most esteemed artists, hairstylists and creatives from across Australia, England and the Unites States. Each series hones in on one specific facet of the industry, with completion of all three leading to further recognition (SHB80116 Graduate Certificate in Hairdressing Creative Leadership).
Each series is supported with a discipline specific Masterclass headed by an industry expert. Experts will share their professional experience, knowledge and insights, leading participants in the elevation of their creative processes.
Next to the stage is an industry trifecta of leading ladies, Sarah Laidlaw, Sharon Blain and Lauren McCowan. Each hosting their own live Image Makers Masterclass on November 15th, 16th (Sydney) and 19th (Adelaide) respectively, delegates can expect to embark on a creative journey from concept to execution and the final production of print and film ready hair. With limited spaces available and a one-off tour in Adelaide, these career-changing sessions are in high demand, in particular with TAFE NSW offering a special rate of just $450 for the full Image Makers or Presenters course, plus Masterclass. Bargain!
Otherwise administered online via virtual feedback sessions and self-devised projects, The Masterclass is the live culmination of the Creative Collaborators series.
Series 1 ‘The Image Makers’ delves into the ever-evolving creative process, inviting participants into the minds of some of
the industry’s most sought after figures. Drawing inspiration from an array of stimuli, participants interpret creative briefs, activate their creative selves, and create and nurture professional image making environments.
Series 2 ‘The Presenters’ draws up on the importance of presentation and showmanship – an area of growing importance for the modern hairdresser. Participants create professional hair design presentations, manage client negotiations, and communicate a design brief – whilst building their confidence in the presentation arena.
Series 3 ‘The Event Directors’ has been devised for creatives looking to build an industry event from the ground up, and effectively manage a team of creatives. Participants will be tasked with devising creative hair concepts for collaborative events and projects (as driven by creative briefs) for a variety of event types.
New intakes for ‘The Presenters’ and ‘The Image Makers’ commence Monday 6th November. Enrollments are now open and filling fast.
