BACKSTAGE: TONI&GUY X JOHN RICHMOND @ LFW SS27

John Richmond’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection brought a charged take on polished hair to the runway, with Hair Director Fabrizio Palmieri leading the TONI&GUY Session Team to create a clean, sculpted silhouette with a deliberately undone finish.

Reflecting the collection’s exploration of control and instinct, the hair retained individual texture and movement, balancing precise shape with a rawer, less polished finish. The result was a sculpted look that felt structured without appearing overly controlled.

The standout detail came in the form of a striking black, feather-like element, which cut through the hair as a graphic interruption. Set against the clean silhouette, the contrasting detail added an unexpected hit of darkness and drama to the overall look.

For SS27, John Richmond explored the tension between light and darkness, structure and softness, drawing inspiration from the energy of White Light, White Heat. Sculpted silhouettes, architectural lines, transparency and contrast were key to the collection, with music, electricity and memory informing its visual direction.

The hair translated these ideas directly to the runway, pairing a controlled shape with contrasting texture and a bold graphic element. Fabrizio Palmieri and the TONI&GUY Session Team used LABEL.M Fashion Edition Ultimate Hairspray to secure the sculpted finish and keep the look in place.

The result? A sharp, modern runway look where polished structure meets undone texture – with a distinctly electric edge.
