AHFA: HOW TO SHOOT SAFE

This is how to plan and execute your upcoming AHFA shoot to COVID guidelines … it’s quite easy, and there’s no cost involved!

With AHFA deadlines extended for ONE.LAST.TIME, the good news is there’s still time to plan and produce your (winning?) shoot. The key is to do it safely and with the correct COVID authorisations in place so your team can create easy on the day – focusing on the magic at hand for the best outcome possible. Not sure where to start? We’ve outlined some starting points and must-know forms for your seamless navigation.

VICTORIA

Responding to the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, every production will need to draw up its own personalised COVID-Safe production plan that identifies the specific control measures needed to mitigate the risks COVID-19 poses to its personnel, given each production’s location, scale and content … and it’s really not as time intensive as it sounds!

  1. COVID-Safe Plan – simply click here, download the top form and fill each box as necessary. They don’t need long winded answers, and a lot of the time it simply involves tuning into the pre-set measures of your respective studio/location
  2. Work Permit (click here)
  3. Worker Document/Travel Letter (click here)
  4. All members should show a negative COVID test on arrival (ensure you give each member 2 – 4 days to do this). Results are generally sent in under 24hours, but can take up to 48hours)

  1. COVID-Safe Plan – simply click here and fill each box as necessary. They don’t need long winded answers, and lot of the time it simply involves tuning into the pre-set measures of your respective studio/location.
  2. All crew should sign and return a COVID declaration form prior to arriving on set. Simply ask your studio (or even a modelling agency you are in contact with) for an example of this and then edit with your brand details.
  3. Worker Document/Travel Letter (as per VIC reference)
  4. All members should show a negative COVID test on arrival (ensure you give each member 2 – 4 days to do this). Results are generally sent in under 24hours, but can take up to 48hours)

NB: It is important to know your city’s LGAs of concern – no-one residing in these areas will be permitted onset.

Further to the above, some studios may request the below:

  1. A call sheet or a ledger of all shoot participants and including the following details for all crew members: Full name, Contact number, Full residential address, Times on site.
  2. A designated COVID Safety Officer on site, who makes themselves known to studio staff (this can be any crew member)

Lastly – models, hair, makeup and face masks:

  1. For talent receiving hair and makeup it is recommended they have their hair done first with the mask on. They may then remove the mask for a short period (if required) to have their makeup done
  2. The hair and makeup stylist(s) must have a mask on at all times
  3. Talent may remove a mask during a shoot provided all other crew members are socially distanced
  4. The talent must put their mask back on during any breaks and immediately before and after the shoot period.

And that’s it! A few additional steps for a whole lot of success.
