It was true-blue with cool factor at Verner Resort 24/25 this past week, Redken Hair Director Diane Gorgievski channelling hometown Bondi vibes across a series of coastal-inspired textures.
“Today is about creating beach culture – a real celebration of our coastal towns,” started Di.
“The casting has been carefully curated to give us the hair looks that we need, with models’ textures and lengths chosen to compliment the look that they’re wearing. From here, we’ve gone in and brought out natural texture with our hero products.”
Redken’s One United was the MVP, it’s conditioning and detangling properties assisting the team to bring out the best in the canvas before them, accentuating fly aways and mastering a wet, semi-dry feeling before a layer of ABC (Acidic Bonding Concentrate) Leave in Lotion sealed the deal.
“With natural-feeling hair it’s always about the prep. I start with clean, fresh hair, and I always use my hands. A lot of the time brushing and combing really disturbs that natural wave, so I break down the disulphide bonds with One United, then layer on conditioning creams to surface a suitable level of wave. Less product for finer hair, more for thicker hair,” explains Di of the fine art of effortless.
The cruise factor continued through the collection, with low riding denim in oversized skate cuts, softly tailored short and shirt combinations and slinky ruched dresswear for your next beach to bar move.
A fresh take on the Australian coast indeed.
