AFW 26: DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Day One of Australian Fashion Week delivered a masterclass in modern hair direction – where polish met personality both on and off the runway.

From the sharp, architectural glamour of Carla Zampatti’s ultra-sleek updos, led by Shark Beauty’s Madison Voloshin alongside O&M’s Pauline McCabe, to the effortless knot detailing at Beare Park courtesy of Redken’s Diane Gorgievski, backstage beauty embraced a refined sense of individuality.

Elsewhere, Buluuy Mirrii presented unexpected woven detailing through precision centre parts, while Camilla and Marc channelled an undone cool-girl energy with hair tucked purposefully beneath collars. At FNFD presented by Aveda, Darren Summor celebrated natural texture and lived-in movement across six First Nations designers – proving that this season, the most impactful hair moments are the ones that feel instinctive, elevated and entirely lived in.
