November saw Franck Provost’s exuberant Australian contingent gather to CUB’s luxe club house, for one evening of Parisian revelry.
On Sunday 18th November, a glamorous selection of stylists and salon owners flocked to trendy Potts Point for Franck Provost Australia’s annual Christmas soiree. Guests were invited to indulge on champagne and a lavish spread of delectables (cheese included – pourquoi non?) whilst celebrating the salon group’s triumphs and achievements for 2017.
The evening would also see the announcement of this year’s Franck Provost Artistic Award Winners; an annual photographic competition open to all stylists within the salon family. Following an inspired six month journey, stylists partook in a two-day photo shoot with renowned photographer Milos Mlynarik, who set about capturing each hairdresser’s artistic vision and skill.
The result? 25 immaculately executed images across five key categories; Artistic Hairdresser of the Year, Artistic Colourist of the Year, Artistic Team of the Year, Artistic Men’s Hairdresser of the Year and Artistic Apprentice of the Year… but of course.
A panel of industry and trade media experts (including The Journal’s own David Mannah) were next tasked with ranking each respective entry by preference, before each score was tallied to determine the final five winners.
Two additional awards would complete the competition lineup, namely Coup de Coeur (The Crush), voted by Franck Provost himself, as well as the People’s Choice Award; that was voted throughout the course of the dazzling evening.
Without further ado, here are the Franck Provost Artistic Award Winners for 2017:
