In an event dedicated to providing education surrounding the latest in hair fashion trends, everyday styling and the wonderful world of editorial, this month we witnessed some of the industry’s greatest in action. CO-LAB 2014 took place in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and brought together a jaw-dropping lineup of hairdressing leaders including American Crew’s Creative Director Craig Hanson and Artistic Director Paul Wilson. Also taking to the stage was ELEVEN Australia’s Co-Creative Directors Joey Scandizzo and Andrew O’Toole, global hair icon Kevin Murphy, and the captivating trio, X-Presion, representing Revlon Professional direct from Spain.

Joey Scandizzo and Andrew O’Toole presented looks inspired by Melbourne street style and integrated light, projection and music inspired by White Night and Vivid Festival into their electrifying, visual showcase.

X-Presion, the Trio of Spanish Creatives from Revlon Professional inspired audiences with their innovative system of cuts, colouring and styling techniques while the American Crew head honchos took us on a trip down memory lane. With a collection inspired by the 20s, 50s, 70s, 80s and 90s, Paul Wilson and Craig Hanson focused on the skill behind creating styles that are unique, bold and memorable.

The powerhouse that is Kevin Murphy showcased looks from his current campaign and demonstrated the versatility of styling shorter lengths, while revealing another addition to his education offerings: cutting and styling class CUT.ME.
