Paul Mitchell have announced the Australian winner of their annual Color Outside the Lines competition.

Now in its third year, the competition welcomed  hairdressers to showcase their colouring skills by submitting photographic interpretations of this season’s creative and commercial hair trends.

With a record 518 entries from across Australia, seven finalists were selected by a panel of expert judges, before Kawsa Hair Studio’s own Kaylee Ditchfield was announced the national winner.

“Kaylee’s winning image was a beautiful representation of the creative brief we set for the competition” enthused Paul Mitchell Managing Director John Pizzey.

“Entrants were asked to create work that was a celebration of beautiful natural tones that represent current commercial Australian hair fashion trends, using only Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color & Paul Mitchell styling products.”

“Each finalist interpreted this in their own way, showing the versatility of our colour ranges, with Kaylee’s image resonating most strongly with public voters.”

As part of the Victoria native’s grand prize, Kaylee will travel to Las Vegas later this year to attend the annual Paul Mitchell The Gathering alongside stylists from around the globe.
