In a new and exciting turn of events, La Biosthetique’s own Alexander Fuchs (alongside sister Rebecca, and father Thomas Fuchs) will assume salon ownership/operation of Bauhaus Hair, from April 1st 2018.

Under the new ananym ‘Fuchs Hair’, the Waterloo salon – first established in 2009 by La Biosthetique Director for Australia and New Zealand, Rob Aubin – will remain a pivotal site for the brand’s national contingent, as both a flagship salon for La Biosthetique Australia, and an adjoining training space to the La Biosthetique Academie.

“We are thrilled to enter into this partnership with the Fuchs Family here in Australia;” enthused Rob Aubin. “With the significant history between Fuchs HairTeam and La Biosthetique in Europe, we hope to build on this for many years to come”.

No strangers to the dual spheres of hair and business, Alexander (Education Manager for La Biosthetique), Rebecca (Resident Stylist and Salon-Coordinator for Bauhaus) and Thomas Fuchs represent two generations of Fuchs family lineage, with Swizz born Hans Fuchs having founded the company in 1955.

Succeeding thereafter, Thomas would expand the group’s salon count to five sites across Switzerland, occupying post as Head Colour Educator for La Biosthetique, and Lecturer at the Corporate University of La Biosthetique. In 2011, Fuchs HairTeam opened a staff training and educational facility in conjunction with La Biosthetique.

“After growing up in our salon family business in Switzerland, we’ve spent the past nine years here in Australia representing the La Biosthetique brand. Now, I feel absolutely thrilled about bringing both brands together” said Alexander.

“Owning a salon and continuing my role as La Biosthetique Education Manager – looking after our clients, guest artists and educators – is the best of both worlds. Alongside my sister, Rebecca Fuchs, and my father, Thomas Fuchs, we’re looking forward to expanding the family salon business to its sixth location.”
