NEWS: NATIONAL COLOUR TROPHY PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

Sunday 4th February will see a bevy of L’Oréal’s finest flock to Melbourne’s The Palms at Crown, for the 2018 Colour Trophy Grand Finale.

Showcasing continual innovation in the realm of hair colouring, the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy is one of the industry’s longest running hairdressing comps, with this year’s installment marking the trophy’s national return.

2017/18’s national leg commenced with a statewide tour of Australia, as semi-finalists from across VIC, SA & TAS, WA & NT, QLD and NSW & ACT revealed their looks to an esteemed panel of local judges, including L’Oréal Professionnel International Ambassador and AHFA 2017 Hairdresser of the Year, Damien Rinaldo.

For the February Grand Finale, state finalists will return to Melbourne and present their looks to a troupe of L’Oréal Professionnel representatives. Each finalist will be given four hours to recreate their look on a chosen model, before being blind judged by a panel of National and International judges.

Acclaimed International stylist and L’Oréal Professionnel Ambassador Guylaine Martel will present a live avant-garde showcase, drawing on her impeccable vision and years of experience honed skill. The evening will also see hair superstars Damien Rinaldo and Justin Pace unite to present an all-star runway experience in collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnel’s ID Artists.

Special guest (and Journal favourite!) Dannii Minogue will join a who’s who of Aussie celebs and beauty insiders in celebrating this year’s International Colour Trophy representative, with a suprise musical guest set to storm the stage with a show stopping musical performance.
