MBFWA SPOTLIGHT: KEVIN.MURPHY FOR ANNA QUAN

Today we worked with an olden-day texture, but gave it a modern day twist. The hair needed to be beautiful for any woman; whether she’s lying by the pool or walking down a runway.

Byron Turnbull

To complement today’s anticipated Anna Quan show, a team of Kevin.Murphy stylists – led by Edwards and Co’s Byron Turnbull and Jayde Turner-Ledwidge – created three bespoke hair looks for each of the show’s models.

The first look consisted of a low hanging fishtail braid interweaved with lengths of metal wire. The second look saw medium length tresses side parted and styled into soft, textured waves, for a lived in finish.

Thirdly, hair was swept into soft top knots, with tendrils and fly aways left to frame the face. “Today we worked with an olden-day texture, but gave it a modern day twist,” said Byron.

“We’ve gone with a really beautiful finger wave that we’ve pulled back into a fish braid for some of the models. For girls with medium length hair, we’ve left the finger waves and created a texture that’s light and fluffy.

The hair needed to be beautiful for any woman; whether she’s lying by the pool or walking down a runway.”
