MBFWA SPOTLIGHT: CLOUD NINE FOR CLIENT LIAISON DELUXE LINE

I wanted to embody and draw inspiration from one of America’s highly renowned models and actresses, Brooke Shields, to create the ultimate 80’s hair.

Renya Xydis

Rounding up day four of Fashion Week was the energetic reveal of Client Liaison’s deluxe line, aptly presented at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal at the Rocks.

The ultimate Australiana party.

Hair for the show was conceived by Mother and Son dynamos Renya Xydis and Aiden Xydis who created six key looks for the ‘Champagne Affection’ resort collection.

Hero looks included beach babe blow-outs and school0girl side ponies accented with Client Liaison scrunchies alongside slicked back tresses, and 80’s ringlets.

“I wanted to embody and draw inspiration from one of America’s highly renowned models and actresses, Brooke Shields, to create the ultimate 80’s hair,” said Renya.

“Working at building the hair by creating volume, texture and oomph by using the Cloud Nine O Pod for blow-out styles and the Cloud Nine Curling Wand to form the hairstyle structure for the curly high ponies sealing with styling products to hold the look.”

Of the male hair looks Aiden added, “Working with the natural state of each of the guys’ hair, I used length to create volume and curls while slicking back shorter styles for a ‘wet look’ vibe.”

Get the Look:

Relaxed Brook Shields

Step One: Blow-dry wet hair and brush through with the Cloud Nine Paddle Brush. Using a comb, create an off-centre part.

Step Two: Separate hair into small segments. Starting at the back of the head. Use the Cloud Nine Curling Wand to create loose waves. Build texture and volume by using a volumising and working spray as you go.

Step Three: Work the Cloud Nine Curling Wand around to the front of the hair to create soft curls to frame the face.

Step Four: Continue to brush out curls with the Cloud Nine Paddle Brush. Adding a styling powder to hold volume and texture.

Male Slick Back

Step one: Spray hair with water and run hands through it. Comb through damp hair with the Evo Roy Wide-Tooth Comb.

Step Two: Using Evo Gangsta Grip run your hands through the hair from front to back, smoothing as you go.

Step Three: Finish the look by combing through with a finer tooth, Evo Truman Comb and then spray lightly with Evo Builders Paradise for extra hold.
