We first caught glimpse of the inaugural collection as it accompanied this year’s Portrait of a Lady SS18 show at MBFWA.

Continuing to celebrate the tradition of matching boot to bag, the range combines modern Baroque elements with an aura primrose and delicate detailing.

The collection (set for release in selected stores and online from mid-July), consists of pieces that are sprinkled from thigh-top to toe-tip with the signature spunk that the Alice McCall brand is synonymous with.

Bags, belts and shoes adorned in pearls, diamanté and gold detailing are handled with a modern finesse that is sure to have you swooning.

While the use of custom fabrics makes the collection feel bespoke to the apparel, there is still plenty of room to play and incorporate these pieces into any day-to-day look.

McCall’s inherent talent for balancing street and sass is both elegant and eloquent.

The candied hues of these bejewelled masterpieces that would have surely had Marie Antoinette mortgaging another country are set to fly off the shelves and satiate her expanding audiences fashion palates.
